DAQL looks for volunteers who are compassionate, caring, and dedicated to:

Provide deaf and hard-of-hearing people with assistance completing their Needs Assessment, especially if they are unable to access the services they need, specifically behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disabilities. (Urgent)

Advocate deaf and hard-of-hearing people in receiving accommodations for the services they need.

Train and consult service providers to provide appropriate accommodations for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.

Plan and coordinate events in order to promote mental health awareness and fundraising.

Develop and post videos that are accessible in American Sign Language and Closed Captioning on DAQL’s social media platforms (Facebook) and website.

Participate in meetings by providing communication assistance.
